Driveway construction is not just a place to park your cars. It is the first feature of any house that people see and can change the look of your house.
Most driveways constructed are used with a 60mm paver for added strength. This could be a concrete or clay paver, usually from one of the big suppliers such as Brikmakers, Midland Brick or Atlas Paving. Once you have chosen your paver you might like to add a couple of different features, such as a border brick to highlight the outside or a feature pattern in the middle. This will make it look very pleasing to the eye and differentiate it from the standard driveway.
When constructing your driveway there are a few things to consider before commencement: Will you require pipework for future reticulation, storm water connections or any electrical conduits? These are very important in any driveway design. Also you may want to consider council regulations when installing the crossover if you want to receive a rebate back from the council. This requires crushed limestone to be installed to a certain depth and then 20-30mm of plasterers sand on top. This is very essential in any planning.
